Click and collect under your name, commission-free, in Tours
The customer orders ahead, picks up on site — and you keep 100% of the price of your dishes. That's the click and collect we want to build for the independent restaurants of Tours.
⚓ Nothing is built yet. We're just starting out in Tours with the first restaurateurs. This page describes what we want to offer, not a service already online. You can try the mockups and tell us what's missing.
A ~30% commission on a ~3% net margin: up to 10× what you keep on the order.
Click and collect, simply put
The principle is straightforward: the customer orders ahead on your page (yourresto.captain.food), picks a time slot, and comes to collect on site. No middleman helping themselves along the way, no heavy hardware to install. It's one of the three channels of the online ordering we want to build, alongside ethical delivery (a channel to come) and ordering at the table by QR code.
0% commission, even on takeaway
Many platforms apply a commission on takeaway too (the commission model sits around ~25 to 30%, public sources, 2024). On an €18 takeaway order, that can mean ~€5 gone elsewhere (an illustrative example). Through Captain.Food, it would be €0 on the dish — you keep your €18. The service would be funded by the customer's pay-what-you-want contribution (€0 is fine, no judgment), never by you. How we fund ourselves, in plain terms →
And your customers stay your customers
Every takeaway order placed directly belongs to you: you get access to your customers' contact details (with their consent) to build loyalty yourself. Takeaway or not, it's your customer base, not a platform's. The frame: a structure carried by the Caring Hope Foundation association (a French loi 1901 non-profit), with a cooperative course (SCIC as the goal) and ESUS accreditation as the objective — an owned-up trajectory, not a done deal.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Captain.Food click and collect require hardware?
No. The principle of the click and collect we want to offer: the customer orders ahead on your page and picks up on site, with no extra hardware to install. We support the setup at your own pace.
Is there a commission on takeaway orders?
No — 0% commission on your dishes, as on every Captain.Food channel. The service is funded by the customer's pay-what-you-want contribution (€0 is fine), never a percentage on your margin, never a surcharge imposed on the customer.
Is it available right now in Tours?
No, nothing is built yet. Click and collect is part of what we want to build with the first restaurateurs of Tours. Joining now means helping shape the tool.
